Most of the film was shot entirely on location in Stevenage. Im an hours drive away and when I visited last month I was surprised how much the town hasnt really changed at all since the film was shot in 1967.

They came to film parts of it in the chnaging rooms at our school, Nobel Grammar – and they crash into what was William Perrings, the furniture shop
