Yell.com has been developing a business video section to their website for some time now. I have just found that they now have launched a ‘beta’ version of business videos on their Yell.com website.
Which means, at present you can upload a business video, either made professionally or made by yourself, to the Yell.com website FREE of charge. It is still in its infancy as there are only a few business videos on the website.
So if you already have a business video you should upload it now. It is very simple and I have uploaded three family business videos recently. It seems there are only business videos of London companies plus a few from around the country. In fact a recent search for businesses in Hertfordshire produced no results.
When I telephoned Yell a year ago about business videos I was told they planned to launch the service this year and that there would be an option to use their professional video service to produce your video at a cost of around £1000. If you wanted to upload your own business video the charge was going to be around £200.
It seem at the moment you can upload your own video free of charge. How long that is going to be the case only time will tell. I would assume that once they have a significant amount of business videos on their website they will be able to assess its success and the volume of traffic it generates. They then may try to charge a fee to continue to host your business video.
In the meantime you should take advantage of the ablity to get free adverting on one of the largest UK advertising websites. You may have a free listing or payed for listing with a website link so take advantage of the business video offer and upload your own business video. If you do not have a business video ready I can produce one for your business almost imediately for a modest sum of £125.
Business videos really do bring new clients and customers to your business.
